There is no credible research showing a link between wearing, or not wearing, a bra<\/strong> and developing breast cancer<\/strong>. It has been claimed that underwire bras cause<\/strong> breast cancer by obstructing the lymph flow, however, there is no scientific evidence to support this theory.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Likewise, can wearing an underwire<\/strong> bra<\/strong> cause breast<\/strong> cancer<\/strong>? Scientific evidence does not support a link between wearing an underwire bra (or any type of bra) and breast cancer risk [582]. There’s no biological reason they would be linked. A 1991 case-control study found women who didn’t wear bras had a lower risk of breast<\/strong> cancer than women who did wear bras [583].<\/p>\n

However, different brands have different sizes for different bras.According to dermatologist, Dr Adil Sheraz, tight clothing – like underwired bras – are known to cause<\/strong> cysts. The British Skincare Foundation consultation said sacs containing semi-fluid material, which looks like cottage cheese, can form on the skin as a result of wearing overly tight clothes.<\/p>\n
